In 2022, I gave up my apartment and sold everything I don’t need on the road. Since then, my rescue dog Enola and are living the vanlife, travelling across Europe in our van Paula.

first Australia, then Europe
I first discovered my love for vanlife in Australia. For about a year, I traveled across the country in a van, that I had converted with the the partner I had at at the time.
To me, this life is the definition of freedom. I love exploring new spots & places and having the time to get to know the country as well as its people.
Contrary to what you might believe from the pictures you’ve seen on instagram accounts, vanlife is not all holidays, surfing and sitting around bonfires at night with friends. It can be really trying sometimes and it certainly pushes me out of my own comfort zones on a regular basis.
I gladly give up some of the amenities that life in an apartment provides, in favor of this nomadic lifestyle, that holds so many surprises in store for me.
"aren't you afraid, traveling alone?"
This is probably one of questions I get asked the most, since I started my own vanlife story. Especially, because I am a woman travelling on her own. I wonder sometimes, if men in my situation are asked the same question…
Either way, I always answer this question with a big fat – no.
The great unknown doesn’t scare me, it gives me an indescribable feeling of being alive. I have been fortunate to meet a great number of open minded, supportive and inspiring human beings while on the road. I am rather sure that I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to connect with so many like minded human beings, if I hadn’t wandered off the “normal” pathways and stayed in my apartment.
Besides, with my rescue dog Enola by my side, I’m never really alone.
Working Digital Nomad Style
Living and working in a van comes with lots of advantages, if you ask me. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t challenging at times.
To earn my keep on the road, I have started my own business and named it the ‘identidee creative studio’. I chose this name, because I believe that every business, large or small, needs a unique identity in order to be successful online.
I love BRAND DESIGN for companies of all sizes, WEB DESIGN with WordPress and Elementor pro and designing inspiring CONTENT for my clients.
